Time traffic - this is how the NivuFlow Mobile 600 measures
The measuring principle of the NivuFlow 600 Mobile is based on the communication difference between two ultrasonic sensors (A and B).
The time of the signal pulse from one sensor to the other is a time t1, with a shorter duration than its response t2 as its direction is against the flow. The difference in the travel times of the ultrasonic pulse emitted by the sensors will be proportional to the flow velocity along the measurement path in question , vm. The average flow velocity va will be calculated by the NivuFlow Mobile 600 from the measurement of vm.
The flow rate in full pipes is calculated by the basic continuity equation:
Comfortable and simple operation
The operation of the measuring device is protected by a login code in the Web-Browser, e.g. with a Smartphone, Tablet or Notebook. This works without the need for a specific software or special App. The communication from the device to the phone, tablet or computer is via wi-fi. As the equipment is free of display, it can be controlled remotely, without the need to be in a dangerous or uncomfortable position or place.
No contact with the medium or in the medium
Measurement by means of ultrasonic transit time technology provides highly accurate and reliable flow measurement in clean and slightly contaminated media.
Clamp-on sensors (external measurement - no contact with the medium); wedge sensors (for screwing in) as well as insertion sensors are available. The NFM 600 automatically recognizes the sensor to be inserted.
Clamp-on sensors (external measurement without contact with the medium) are easy and quick to install. For the mounting of insertion sensors, Nivus has accessories that enable fast and efficient installation without the need to stop the process.
By allowing the connectivity of temperature and pressure sensors, these measurements are obtained in parallel.
The NivuFlow Mobile 600 was specially designed for temporary measurement requirements without the need for external power.
It offers the possibility to measure flow in case of testing or verifying existing systems, even in inaccessible places.
The time spent by maintenance personnel at the measuring point is reduced due to the remote reading offered by the NFM 600, thus reducing time and costs.
