Data Loggers Sofrel NEO CWW

The SOFREL NEO CWW (Complete Level Measurement) is the most complete IIoT data logger in the SOFREL NEO range for wastewater and stormwater networks. It is dedicated to permanent network diagnostics, level measurement, overflow detection and rainfall monitoring. It is designed and manufactured by LACROIX Environment (LACROIX Sofrel), a French company specialised since 1971 in remote management and wireless data transmission for water and energy operators.

The device combines 2 analogue inputs for level measurement with third-party sensors, powered through a 4-20 mA loop at 12 V or 20 V, and 2 dry-contact digital inputs. It is compatible with the SOFREL CSV overflow sensor, with rain gauges and with autonomous sampler control. It time-stamps every value, stores up to 100,000 data points and transmits them periodically, on schedule or on event to one or two SCADA central stations over 4G LTE-M / NB-IoT, with 2G fallback.

Its IP68 enclosure and waterproof connectors allow installation in manholes, overflow structures and underground chambers exposed to immersion. It runs on an internal lithium battery with up to 5 years of autonomy, depending on configuration, is configured on site via Bluetooth and detects sensor faults. Unlike the NEO SWW model, which only detects overflows, the NEO CWW measures level continuously and relates its behaviour to rainfall. The SOFREL NEO range received the Innovation Award in the instrumentation category at the H2O 2021 exhibition in Bologna, Italy.

Data is exploited in the SOFREL WEB LS cloud platform, in the SOFREL PCWin2 central station, or in third-party applications through web services and FTP, with analysis from a PC, tablet or smartphone. The NEO CWW can also communicate in M2M mode with SOFREL RTUs on DI status change or threshold exceedance, for example with the RTU of a wastewater pumping station.
