Multiparameter UV-Vis spectrometer probe for online monitoring of drinking, waste and surface water with configurable parameters and IoT connectivity

The spectro::lyser V3 is a multiparameter spectrometer probe manufactured by s::can, a Badger Meter brand with more than two decades of experience in optical water quality monitoring. It continuously measures multiple water quality parameters with a single submersible probe and no chemical reagents, suitable for drinking water, wastewater and surface water.
Its operating principle is based on full-range UV-Vis spectrometry (200-720 nm): the probe analyzes the absorbance of the water sample across the optical spectrum and, using calibration algorithms, calculates parameters such as COD, BOD, TOC, color, turbidity, NO3-N/NO3 and other organic and inorganic compounds without reagents or chemical maintenance.
Unlike conventional single-parameter analyzers, the spectro::lyser V3 captures a complete absorbance spectrum on every measurement cycle, deriving several parameters simultaneously from that single optical reading. This reduces the number of physical sensors needed at the monitoring point, along with the maintenance and calibration logistics tied to multiple individual instruments.
The probe includes a built-in web server and WLAN and Bluetooth connectivity, so it is configured and visualized directly from a browser on any mobile device through the Io::Tool interface, with no additional software required. Data can be integrated into SCADA systems or sent to cloud platforms via terminals such as con::cube or con::line.
