GPRS data logger for drinking water networks with up to 8 channels and up to 10-year battery life

The TRITON II GPRS is a data logger for drinking water networks, manufactured by GCRTech, a British company specializing in pressure management and non-revenue water reduction instrumentation, now part of Mobiltex Data Ltd. It belongs to the well-known Triton range of loggers, widely used by water utilities for District Metered Area (DMA) monitoring.
Its operating principle is based on up to 8 recording channels, with capacity for up to 2 internal pressure sensors, and an integrated quad-band GPRS modem (900/1800/850/1900 MHz, with 3G and 4G support) for remote data transmission via GSM, GPRS and SMS. A more advanced recording architecture allows it to detect random pressure increases and more accurately calculate overnight minimums using the PIT (Pulse Interval Timing) technique.
Unlike conventional loggers, the TRITON II GPRS offers a superior level of data analysis detail thanks to its additional fast-logging capability — such as walk tests — without interfering with the main 15-minute recordings. Its non-volatile flash memory, organized into 8 independent data files, retains information for 10 years even if the battery fails, and its low-power electronics provide a battery life of up to 10 years.
The unit is compatible with a wide variety of transducers and pulse meters from brands such as GCR, Elster, Actaris, Sensus and Quadrina, easing integration into existing networks, and can be paired with pressure controllers such as the Neptuno II FM within a single sectorization scheme.
