Data Logger Sofrel NEO CWT

The SOFREL NEO CWT (Clear Water Telemetry) is the IIoT data logger in the SOFREL NEO range dedicated to monitoring pressure and water quality indicators on drinking water networks. It is designed and manufactured by LACROIX Environment (LACROIX Sofrel), a French company specialised since 1971 in remote management and wireless data transmission for water and energy operators.

The device provides 2 analogue inputs to measure pressure or level with SOFREL CPR / CNPR sensors, or to connect third-party transmitters powered through a 4-20 mA loop at 12 V or 20 V. According to the manufacturer, this configuration allows two pressure points and quality parameters such as pH, chlorine or conductivity to be monitored. It time-stamps every measurement, stores up to 100,000 data points and transmits them periodically, on schedule or on event to one or two SCADA central stations over 4G LTE-M / NB-IoT, with 2G fallback.

Its IP68 enclosure and waterproof connectors allow installation in underground pits and valve chambers subject to flooding. It runs on an internal lithium battery with up to 5 years of autonomy, depending on configuration, and is configured on site via Bluetooth. It detects sensor faults and immediately reports threshold exceedances, enabling a prompt response to pressure drops or quality deviations. The SOFREL NEO range received the Innovation Award in the instrumentation category at the H2O 2021 exhibition in Bologna, Italy.

Data is exploited in the SOFREL WEB LS cloud platform, in the SOFREL PCWin2 central station, or in third-party applications through web services and FTP, with analysis from a PC, tablet or smartphone. The NEO CWT can also communicate in M2M mode with SOFREL RTUs on threshold exceedance, for remote site control.
