Data Logger Sofrel NEO LC

The SOFREL NEO LC (Large Consumer) is the IIoT data logger in the SOFREL NEO range dedicated to remote reading of large consumer meters on drinking water networks. It is designed and manufactured by LACROIX Environment (LACROIX Sofrel), a French company specialised since 1971 in remote management and wireless data transmission for water and energy operators.

The device acquires pulses from up to two meters or flowmeters through 2 digital inputs for standard or bidirectional metering, time-stamps every value, computes the daily district metering balance (night flow, maximum flow, minimum flow and daily volume), and stores up to 100,000 data points locally. Data is transmitted periodically, on schedule or on event to one or two SCADA central stations over 4G LTE-M / NB-IoT, with 2G fallback.

Its IP68 enclosure and waterproof connectors allow direct installation in underground meter chambers subject to flooding. It runs on an internal lithium battery with up to 5 years of autonomy, depending on configuration, and is configured on site via Bluetooth, with no cabling or special tools. The SOFREL NEO range received the Innovation Award in the instrumentation category at the H2O 2021 exhibition in Bologna, Italy.

Data is exploited in the SOFREL WEB LS cloud platform, in the SOFREL PCWin2 central station, or in third-party applications through web services and FTP, with analysis and exploitation from a PC, tablet or smartphone. The NEO LC can also communicate in M2M mode with SOFREL RTUs for remote site control.
