Lightweight polymer pressure reducing valve with axial flow technology that cuts non-revenue water

The NeoFlow PRV is a next-generation pressure reducing valve, developed jointly by Oxford Flow (Oxford, UK) and GF Piping Systems (Georg Fischer). The technology originated from Oxford Flow's patented piston design for pressure regulation, and following its rapid adoption by water utilities in Mexico, GF acquired an exclusive license in 2020 to manufacture and market the valve worldwide under the NeoFlow brand for the drinking water sector.
Its operating principle is based on an axial flow design with an integrated pilot valve, with no actuator stem or elastomer diaphragm. This drastically reduces the number of moving parts and allows the valve to operate precisely across a 1% to 100% opening range, delivering stable flow even at very small pressure differentials.
Unlike conventional metal PRVs, the polymer body of the NeoFlow PRV makes it up to 9 times lighter and 5 times more compact, resulting in installations that are up to 40% faster and simplified maintenance: thanks to its mechanical simplicity, the valve can be fully serviced in under one hour. Because no metal components are in contact with the water, it also eliminates the risk of internal corrosion.
The valve body includes interfaces for connecting additional flow and water quality monitoring equipment, as well as for integration with RTU telemetry and SCADA systems, enabling modulated pressure management schemes or remote control within a DMA.
